Yahoo has recently had a new boss, namely Marissa Mayer. She is now to free Yahoo from the standstill and ensure an increase in sales. The second quarter turned out for Yahoo namely quite sobering .

Both the business with text ads and with banners remained at the same level as a year ago. Yahoo drives in a revenue of about 1.2 billion USD. Competition Google and Facebook are clearly giving Yahoo a hard time in the ad market. Marissa Mayer is a former top Google manager and could help the company get back on its feet. However, she has not yet taken any concrete measures.

Yahoo has hired Marissa Mayer as its fourth chief executive in just one year. Unfortunately, her predecessors did not help the company achieve the success it had hoped for. It remains to be seen how Mayer will do. It will certainly not be easy, as Google and Facebook have already established themselves very strongly in the market. Marissa Mayer already has 13 years of professional experience under her belt and started at Google right after graduating.
